Understanding Thermal Printers
There are two kinds of thermal printers:
- Thermal transfer printer uses an ink ribbon or cartridge to print onto the label. For example, bakery or deli labels.
- Direct thermal applies heat to the label stock and draws out the ink embedded in the stock itself. For example, a receipt from the grocery store.
