30% Recycled Economical Sticker Label

This recycled coated paper label is made with 30% post-consumer waste, primarily office paper that has been de-inked and recycled. It is a less expensive alternative to other stocks we carry. It will compost but is not Certified Compostable. Use it to seal containers, as labels for recyclable food containers, clothing, cosmetics, corrugated, glass etc.

We print on award winning energy saving HP Indigo digital printers using toner ink TUV Austria Certified for Industrial and Home Compost. The adhesive is a rubber-based adhesive. You can order blank or pre-printed in any size to run in your thermal transfer printer.

An inexpensive sticker label for many uses. Sure, it doesn’t have as much recycled content as some of our other stocks but 30% recycled paper content is far better than the majority of stickers offered through typical printers. If you are on a tight budget this might be a good choice for you.

Stock

The sticker is made from 30% post-consumer waste. Recycle labels with paper.

Adhesive

This adhesive is durable and well suited for freezer applications and most wet conditions. The adhesive is a rubber-based adhesive FDA 175.105 Compliant for indirect food contact. The adhesive has not been certified compostable.

Why don’t we offer certified compostable adhesive? There are just too many issues with the compostable adhesives. In the past we had labels with compostable adhesive but too many of our customers called about labels that wouldn’t stick, or would curl at the edges or the labels simply fell off a few weeks to months after being applied to their packaging. Labels falling off containers is not a viable option. We’re working with our supplier to develop a strong, aggressive Certified Compostable adhesive with a shelf life of one year. However, in the mean time we are sticking with water-based adhesives.

Ink

We print on award winning, energy saving HP Indigo digital printers. We use inks certified by TUV Austria for compostable labels.

Look & Feel

It looks like a semi-glossy white paper label. It has a smooth feel. Because it’s a coated label your art will have more of a ‘pop’ and it will have a bit more shine, or we can add a matte finish.
