100% Recycled Sticker Label

This stock is FSC Certified by Rainforest Alliance & Canopy Planet Certified to be Ancient Forest Friendly, It is made with 100% post-consumer fiber. The vellum stock is recyclable and comes in bright white, with excellent art reproduction. This uncoated, thicker sticker label is an elegant choice for high-end cosmetic packaging such as perfume or tincture bottles, or soap packaging. This stock is well suited for moist environments, high quality wine labels and CBD products. It is suited for wet-strength environments. Choose this stock to make a statement. Write on it.

We print on award winning energy saving HP Indigo digital printers using toner ink TUV Austria Certified for Industrial and Home Compost. The adhesive is an aggressive water-based acrylic emulsion. The adhesive is not certified compostable. Recycle labels in the paper bin. You can order blank or pre-printed in any size. Not suited for thermal printers. This stock comes in bright white.

The Stock

This stock uses the highest quality recycled fiber available to produce one of the brightest and whitest vellum stocks made with 100% post-consumer fiber. It is made with "wet strength" properties to increase performance in moist environments. It comes in bright white.

It is FSC® certified by the Rainforest Alliance, Green Seal certified, and Green-E certified.

Adhesive

The adhesive is made with environmentally friendly water-based acrylic emulsion. It is not certified compostable.

Why don’t we offer certified compostable adhesive? There are just too many issues with the compostable adhesives. In the past we had labels with compostable adhesive but too many of our customers called about labels that wouldn’t stick, or would curl at the edges or the labels simply fell off a few weeks to months after being applied to their packaging! Labels falling off containers is not a viable option. We’re working with our supplier to develop a strong, aggressive Certified Compostable adhesive with a shelf life of one year. However, in the mean time we are sticking with water-based adhesives.

Ink

We print on award winning, energy saving HP Indigo digital printers. We use inks certified by TUV Austria for compostable labels.

Look & Feel

It has texture and ‘tooth’ to it, a thicker label stock, you can feel the difference, a matte natural look like you would expect from a vellum paper sticker. It has an elegant flair. 

What most printers don’t tell you

Because this is an uncoated paper it will eventually absorb oils and discolor.  Also, this stock is ill suited to use with thermal printers because it has too much texture. It is made from post-consumer fiber paper and will compost but it is not Certified Compostable. The adhesive is not certified compostable and toner inks TUV EN 13432, 94/62/EEC and ASTM 6400 are certified compostable. 

We recommend you recycle this stock with paper.

The liner has a silicone backing and in a few cases may be recycled with ‘lined’ corrugated boxes. Please discuss this with your recycler.
