We founded Yai’s Thai at the beginning of 2015 with a shared love of delicious food, and a shared desire to make vibrant Thai flavors more accessible. We want every meal to be a symphony, but like most people, we don’t always have the time to put a masterpiece together. So we set out to create easy-to-use sauces that are unlike anything else out there. It started with the original Thai salsa and has grown from there.

We get our Thai inspiration from Leland’s mom, who grew up in Thailand. She taught Leland everything he knows about Thai cooking, including how to make a Thai salmon salad passed down from her mom – Leland’s yai. And we love a good rhyme. After spending many evenings cooking with Sarah, we began tossing the idea around of stripping some of the main ingredients from this recipe, and creating a base sauce that could have the versatility of the most popular household condiment in the country – salsa.

For Evangeline Lilly’s first limited edition printing of her book, The Squickerwonkers, it was very important to print it with the earth in mind. Evangeline’s concern for the planet and desire for earth-friendly printing brought her to Plan It Green Printing. The paper had to be 100% post-consumer waste, Ancient Forest Friendly-Free certified by Canopy Planet, manufactured in the USA and printed with soy-based inks.
